“Desi Kattey” follows the lives of two orphans from a secluded village who make a living by crafting homemade firearms. The film chronicles their transformation into national-level shooters. Set in Mungera, a small village in the Kanpur District of Uttar Pradesh, known for its location along the sacred Ganges River and its production of homemade guns, the story centers on two young boys, Pali and Gyani. Like other unsupported orphaned children, Pali and Gyani work in a local gun-making factory to sustain themselves.
