A catastrophic virus has wiped out the adult population, leaving only the youth to endure. The young survivors witness their parents’ descent into insanity and eventual demise. Traumatized by these harrowing experiences, they struggle to survive in a desolate world. Groups of teenagers and rebellious children wander the devastated terrain. Among them are sisters Evie and Fran, who remain isolated, scavenging for food and constantly on the move from one town to another.
