Inspired by real events (for the most part), the story follows Freddie, a 15-year-old runaway who finds herself deeply familiar with California’s “Murder City” after her late-night release from jail. With an almost comical level of self-reliance, no money, and 120 miles separating her from her friends, she must rely solely on her cleverness and youthful allure to navigate her situation.
