Before relocating overseas, Ahmad takes on one final assignment: to audition actors for the new National Palestinian Theatre. Accompanied by interviewer Bissan and her cameraman Loumir, Ahmad embarks on a journey to discover talent within the many refugee camps across Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon. For what he hopes will be the last time, Ahmad confronts the overwhelming challenges of life in Palestine, including intrusive searches at checkpoints and borders, barricades, and constant tension. He comes to understand that the fate of the waiting refugees mirrors his own. Ahmad ultimately guides the aspiring actors to portray the essence of their shared destinies. However, with his flight departure looming, Ahmad risks losing his long-anticipated chance for exile.
