Akbar, now eighteen, has spent the last two years in a rehabilitation center after being sentenced to death for a murder he committed at sixteen. Legally, his execution could only proceed once he reached adulthood. With his eighteenth birthday behind him, Akbar is moved to a prison where he awaits his execution date. Meanwhile, A’la, a friend who has recently been released from jail for burglary, is making urgent efforts to secure the plaintiff’s forgiveness in hopes of preventing Akbar’s execution.
