In 2003, during the SARS outbreak in China and Hong Kong, 11 directors collaborated to create a series of short films aimed at combating the epidemic. These films, each lasting between 1 to 2 minutes, were produced by the Information Services Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government. The initiative sought to restore confidence among the Hong Kong populace. The collection includes: 1-“Rhapsody” by Johnny To and Wai Ka-fai; 2-“My Sow Is Not Feeling Well” by Fruit Chan; 3-“Smile” by Teddy Chen; 4-“Of a Cause” (Animation) by Tsui Hark; 5-“Hong Kong – A Winner” by Stephen Chow; 6-“Who’s Miss Hong Kong?” by Joe Ma; 7-“Family of Heroes” by Alex Law and Mabel Cheung; 8-“Until Then” by Gordon Chan and Dante Lam; 9-“McDull 1:99” by Brian Tse; 10-“Spring, 2003” by Peter Chan; 11-“A Glorious Future” by Andrew Lau and Alan Mak; and 12-“Making of 1:99” by Wong Shou-Ping.
